She used her time with her friends, including Miley Cyrus, as a way to cope up. However, their trip to mend their broken hearts ended in a love affair no one saw happening.
"As my friend and I spent that August traveling through Europe together and trying to move past our respective break-ups, my first and only romance with a woman was born," Kaitlynn Carter wrote in an essay for Elle. At the time, she realized she was attracted to Miley Cyrus, although they had been friends for three years.
The television personality never thought romantically of the "Don't Call Me Angel" hitmaker until they spent some time together in Europe. "Until that trip, it had never crossed my mind that I was even capable of loving a woman the way I loved her," she added.
However, despite being inseparable for several weeks, they ended their relationship in September. No matter how short, their romance left a huge impact on Kaitlynn Carter. She refused to label herself as any specific sexuality, but she said that sapiosexual seemed to be what she saw herself.
Despite the breakup, Kaitlynn Carter was grateful for her experience with Miley Cyrus. She said that it helped her open her eyes to the "unexplored part" of herself.

Miley Cyrus, on the other hand, is reportedly dating the Australian singer Cody Simpson. However, there are rumors the two already broke up after the Hannah Montana star posted something about being lonely on holidays and Simpson was seen with the December 2019 Playmate Jordy Murray in New York City, per Metro News.
