TWICE Nayeon did not let the threat of her stalker keep her from spreading Christmas cheer to her fans. She recently released an adorable cover video of Ariana Grande's holiday song, Santa Tell Me, to the delight of her supporters.
According to a report by All Kpop, Nayeon showed off her fun and cheerful personality in the video which endeared her to TWICE fans all over the world. She also earned praise for her powerful vocals and for giving justice to the holiday cover.
It can be recalled that the entire fandom was recently shaken up by reports of Nayeon's alleged stalker in Korea. According to reports, ONCEs reported to JYP Entertainment that a German fan by the name of Josh has been initiating in some alarming behavior towards the TWICE member.
After JYP Entertainment was bombarded by reports from concerned members of TWICE's fandom, they assured fans that the label was taking appropriate action in beefing up protection for Nayeon and other members. Agency reps also assured that they were exploring legal options against Nayeon's alleged stalker.
"We have informed you that we are now under investigation for the production and distribution of malicious rumors. As soon as the final ruling comes out, we will also tell you that we are preparing to proceed with a civil action against those who will be charged. I repeat that we will continue to take all possible stern measures without any prior cause," JYP stated.
However, Nayeon's alleged stalker took to social media to deny claims that he intended the TWICE member any harm. He accused JYP Entertainment employees of assassinating his character. He also called out other fans for baiting him in order to learn about his plans and even accused them of threatening harm to his family, Kpopstarz reported.
Still, the German fan maintained that he will stay in Korea longer and appealed to Koreans to help him get in touch with Nayeon. He said he wanted Nayeon to know about him and his true personality.
However, JYP maintained that it is ready to take civil action as soon as it collects enough evidence against the object of the complaint. They also asked fans to report any activity of the alleged stalker's search for Nayeon or his attempts to get in touch with her.
JYP recently reached out to police to request for police protection for TWICE members after reports of stalker activities escalated with the German fan's arrival to Korea.
