Princess Charlotte has been known for being charming, jolly, and always showing off her antics to photographers. But once in a while, Prince William and Kate Middleton's middle child shows her strong personality in photos too.

Most of the time, Charlotte is seen smiling, waving to the camera, or making adorable silly faces to the delight of photographers. She is rarely seen in a bad mood or a serious face. Hence, many are wondering what is she thinking or what upsets her in the two photos that were recently shared online.

A couple of pictures of the young princess emerged online and netizens commented that this is how Charlotte looks like when she is upset. The always smiling Charlotte is seen in a very serious mood in the new pictures.

The snaps were reportedly taken while the Cambridges are on their way to Queen Elizabeth II's annual Christmas lunch. Princess Charlotte appears to be looking at something from the car window. Many commented that she looks to be in a bad mood when the photo was taken.

Though the future Princess Royal is not smiling in the pictures, many still adore the little princess. One Instagram user even commented that Charlotte looks like her paternal great-great-grandmother, the Queen Mother, when Queen Elizabeth II's mom is young.

"Princess Charlotte even serious looks so adorable," one said. "Strong personality," another added.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are both heirs to the British throne but many royal observers believe that the sibling may have different styles of ruling if they will ascend to the throne one day. George shows the sign of being an excellent leader but he is more "reserved" as compared to his sister.

Charlotte, on the other hand, exudes confidence especially when she is out in public events. She is not afraid to give the waiting photographers funny faces or her "don't mess with me" glare. Prince William and Kate's only daughter once stuck her tongue out at paparazzi instead of waving at them.

Royal insiders considered Charlotte as the sassiest member of the royal family. Some even compared her to Princess Margaret and Princess Anne.

Charlotte also loves to entertain the crowd. Apparently, she loves to play hostess at their residence in Kensington Palace. She would approach their guests and ask them if they want tea or coffee or offer them some sweets.
