Manifest season 2 is only a few weeks away and the latest installment will possibly answer all the questions left in the previous installment. There is a huge cliffhanger that shook everyone in the season 1 finale; the death date or "expiration date" for those who were in Flight 828 and anyone else who came back from the same situation.

In an interview with TV Insider, the cast and executive producer discussed what viewers can expect in the upcoming Manifest season 2. The passengers of Flight 828 have expiration dates, so they would try to prevent their imminent death. Ben (Josh Dallas) has plans for that and will not accept their death is coming; he'll find a way on how to stop it with Saanvi (Parveen Kaur).

Meanwhile, Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) will focus on helping people within the time frame and will try to encourage her brother, Ben, to do the same thing. Saanvi, on the other hand, is hoping to get an answer or cure on how to solve it. Athena Karkanis, who plays Grace, discussed how will the passengers die if they're not in the plane.

She said this is one of the factors that will drive Manifest season 2. They need to figure out how to fix their expiration dates and how do they outrun death. The actress teased there would be a lot of revelations in the latest installment and some of the mysteries will unfold. Karkanis further said the callings will evolve as well and will start doing different things.

Roxburgh added the callings haven't stopped, and the characters would either stop or deal with these. Executive producer Jeff Rake also explained the death dates will have a huge impact on the characters. While they need to figure out if there's a way to survive the death date, they should also think carefully about the choices they make.

Aside from the expiration dates, Manifest season 2 will also explore the gunshot in the season 1 finale. The main question here is: who was shot? Viewers will get the answer once the series arrive as Matt Long, who plays Zeke, revealed the new season will pick up the events that happened in the previous installment. Thus, we're going to immediately find out whether or not someone was shot.

J.R. Ramirez, who plays Jared, also said his character will be darker than before, and that his intentions weren't clear and why he's doing what he's doing. As for Zeke, the flashbacks in Manifest season 2 will dive deeper into the character's backstory. In addition, he will continue to be part of almost every episode of the latest installment.

Manifest season 2 will arrive on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, on NBC.
