Manifest season 2 is ready to take flight once again as cast and crew reunited for the first table read. This news was revealed via the official Twitter account of the NBC series, giving fans a little bit of a first-day-of-school vibe. The first season concluded in February 2019, and there were only a few details about the second installment since then, so the news about the first table read made fans more excited.
The cast and crew members will likely spend a considerable amount of time together for the next few months to deliver fans what they expect to be a thrilling installment. The question, however, is what will Manifest season 2 address? The finale of the first season was a big cliffhanger, in which someone was probably shot.

But while there's a gunshot at the season 1 finale, it does not necessarily mean that someone was already dead. Manifest season 2 will surely offer some answers about that particular incident, but the new installment would probably deliver more mystery, as well as some great developments.
Also, the first season was also devastating for several characters, so fans should expect tough times coming in the second season. However, fans need to wait a little bit longer before they see the series on the screen once again, as the possible release date of Manifest season 2 will be in January 2020.
It can be noted that NBC labeled the series as midseason, so that means it could be flexible at times. But while the first season has 16 episodes, then forthcoming installment will reportedly consist only of 13 episodes. And aside from the gunshot cliffhanger, the story's core emotions would still be relationships - particularly about family and fighting for the future.
In another related report, former Once Upon A Time actress Ginnifer Goodwin revealed she is open to appearing in Manifest season 2. The actress, who's married to Manifest star Josh Dallas, said she's willing to make an appearance on the NBC series and all they have to do is to ask.
In an interview with TVLine, Goodwin said she's open to joining Manifest, although that matter was out of her control. As for her potential role, she said there were a lot of passengers on the plane, so she could likely be one of those. But then, the actress is currently busy with her CBS All Access, so if ever she'll appear on the NBC series, her role would possible a recurring one.
