Power season 6 is currently on its midseason break and the Starz series is set to come back within a few weeks. The finale of the first part left a huge cliffhanger, wherein the main character James "Ghost" St. Patrick was shot and there were a lot of possible suspects as to who did it. Some speculated that it's her estranged wife, Tasha, who pulled the trigger.
In the recently released video Power season 6, it seems like Tasha has motives to kill Ghost. The latter has been pushing her for long and it was clear she's threatened he would destroy her. All of these might be enough for Tasha, which leads her to eventually pulling the trigger. Also, she killed LaKeisha this season, so it's possible she could do it again this time.
The speculation further fuelled as the trailer also shows Tasha and Ghost are in bad terms. She confessed they had problems in the marriage since they lost their daughter, Raina. Tasha has motives to kill her estranged husband since his drama has led to their child's death. In addition, Ghost tried to ruin her new business by telling the police she's dealing drugs.
In a related report, there were rumors that Tasha, plays by Naturi Naughton, will die in Power season 6. As mentioned, she killed LaKeisha after finding out she's working with law enforcement. Speaking with TVLine, Naughton said her character wasn't thinking clearly when she committed the murder since it wasn't a "premeditated killing."
When LaKeisha died, Tommy was heartbroken as he was planning to propose to his girlfriend. Naughton said she's worried about Tasha because Tommy wouldn't just sit there and accept LaKeisha was murdered in an armed robbery or a break-in. The actress said she's nervous about her character and people on Instagram have been guessing Tasha left something at the scene.
Right now, Tommy believes Ghost was the one who killed his girlfriend. Aside from exploring who shot Ghost, Power season 6 will also focus on LaKeisha and her death wouldn't be unresolved. She is one of the major characters in the series, and fans want to see a satisfying end to her death. So, will Tommy kill Tasha once he finds out she's the one who murdered her girlfriend?
Power season 6 is set to return on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, on Starz.
