Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are both nominated for Best Actress in a TV drama series in the upcoming Golden Globe Awards. Though the two don't seem to mind the competition, rumors have it that they are actually feuding because they both recognized in the same category.

The In Touch tabloid claimed that there is a rift between The Morning Show stars because they are both nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Series - Drama. Jen got a nod for her performance as New York-based news anchor Alex Levy. Reese, on the other hand, is nominated for the same category for her role as field reporter Bradley Jackson in The Morning Show.

Both were also nominated as producers of the Apple TV+ series. Witherspoon has an added nom for being one of the producers of HBO's Big Little Lies.

In Touch cited a source as saying Reese is fiercely competitive and wouldn't allow Jen to steal the night from her. The Legally Blonde actress is allegedly looking for a knockout dress that will make her stand out from her co-star on the awards night.

The insider added that while the two have been feuding for the same award, it could be snatched by another actress. The source said Nicole Kidman could take home the trophy as she is also nominated for best actress for her outstanding performance in Big Little Lies.

The source stressed that Kidman could be a bigger threat to Reese than Jen. Aside from Kidman, the two are also up against The Crown lead actress Olivia Coleman and Killing Eve's Jodie Comer.

Gossip Cop debunked the alleged conflict between Aniston and Witherspoon. The outlet pointed out that the duo are very close friends and there is no tension between them over an awards show.

Jen's spokesperson also dismissed the speculations and called it nonsense. In addition, both stars have also expressed excitement for each other when Golden Globe dropped the list of nominees earlier this month.

This is the first time for Jen to nab a nom from the Golden Globe after 16 years. The last time she was nominated at the awards show for a TV show was when she starred as Rachel Green on Friends

In 2003, the Murder Mystery actress won the best performance by an actress in a comedy or musical TV series. Aniston also earned a Golden Globes nom for best performance by an actress in a drama motion picture for her role in the 2014 movie, Cake

As for Witherspoon, she has two Golden Globes under her name. One is for winning Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for her role in the film Walk the Line in 2005. Last year, she also took home Best Miniseries or Motion Picture - Television award as one of the producers of Big Little Lies.
