Princess Diana was very young when she became an official part of the British Royal Family. At the age of 20, she got married to Prince Charles, in which the wedding was deemed as the "fairytale" type.

Quite obviously, she was not familiar with all of the traditions and protocols at first. So, it was not surprising that the late Princess of Wales obtained a lot of errors in her ways.

As revealed by royal experts in a recent podcast episode of Royals, Angela Mollard and Zoe Borrell claimed that the young princess got very "annoyed" with the Heir Apparent because of a Christmas blunder that she experienced in her first stay in Sandringham.

According to Express UK, the two royal experts talked about what happened to Princess Diana and Prince Charles in the estate, along with the rest of the royal family. As it happened, one of the family's traditions every Christmas includes the exchange gift among the members of the family.

While the late princess knew about the tradition, what she did not know was that it was supposed to be a joke. Instead of giving expensive gifts to each other, they would typically exchange novelty items.

Not knowing about the details of the royal tradition, she bought an expensive cashmere jumper for Princess Anne. While the item was revealed to be gorgeous and grand, it seemed like she felt embarrassed as she did not have an idea about the tradition.

The experts then claimed, "poor thing," referring to Princess Diana. If only the then-couple communicated about it, then it would not be a "fail" present on the late princess' part, the other commentator shared.

As per the royal experts, they think that Princess Diana and Prince Charles were not communicating well during the first year of their marriage. Considering that they got married in August, and the so-called "Christmas blunder" happened four months later, surely, they were not able to talk about it, which made the princess very "annoyed," Mollard explained.

For this year, however, sources from various reports were claiming that the Christmas celebration at the Sandringham Estate was successful. Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as their seven-month-old son, Archie Harrison, were not in the United Kingdom to celebrate the holiday season with the royal family, it seemingly appeared that everything went well, especially for Princess Diana and Prince Charles' firstborn son, Prince William, along with his family.
