After weeks of speculation from fans, Super Junior's Kim Heechul finally confirmed that he adopted Sullu's cat Goblin after his friend and labelmate passed away last October.

According to Heechul, he did not want to make any announcements or confirmation at first because he was trying to avoid speculations and conclusions from netizens who always had an opinion about everything.

During a live broadcast, he formally introduced Sulli's cat, Goblin, to his supporters and told them about the cat.

According to Heechul, he made a special request to the cast and crew of My Ugly Duckling to edit out any footage of the cat to prevent bandwagoners from starting the blame game on the death of his friends again. He confided that he filmed the show and kept the cat hidden while filming the show to avoid speculations.

However, fans spotted the cat walking around during one of his live broadcasts and immediately called attention to Goblin since they knew that Sulli owned a distinctive sphinx cat.

"When I first brought it home, I kept [crying] every time I looked at it. It was so hard because I kept [crying] every time I looked at it. It was hard because the tears kept flowing whenever I looked at it. I hadn't told my friends or my agency at first that I was raising Goblin. So I cried for many days," Heechul confessed.

He said that while seeing Goblin made him sad, he also brought him much joy because he always came to him while he was crying and stuck his backside to his face. For those who did not know about sphinx cats, Heechul said that they had a distinct smell that distracted him from his sadness.

For the first time, Heechul also opened about the death of his two good friends, Sulli and Goo Hara, less than a month apart.

He said that at first, he did not want to talk about Sulli and Goo Hara but found the strength to do so after Yoo Jae Suk remembered the two Kpop idols when he received his award from Daesang.

It can be recalled that the nation's MC said that of all the guests that appeared in Running Man, he remembered his two juniors a lot. He said that he wished that Sulli and Hara will find peace and freedom in the afterlife, All Kpop reported.

It can be recalled that following the death of Goo Hara in November, fans became worried about Heechul when he unfollowed everyone on Instagram and switched his account to private.
