The marriage of Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan is reportedly in trouble because of their upcoming movie, Dolittle. Rumors have it that the pressure of doing the remake of 1998 Eddie Murphy movie is already getting into their nerves.

Downey Jr. is the lead star in the new Dolittle movie. He produced it alongside his wife, Susan Downey. The couple has worked together in many projects over the years through their production company, Team Downey.

OK!, however, reported that Robert DowneyJr.'s marriage is now on the rocks because of the troubles on the production of Dolittle. The outlet cited a source as saying the several weeks of reshoots put the Iron Man actor in a "terrible mood."

Things reportedly get worse because the couple have different opinions on how the reshoot should be done. The insider also claimed RDJ has been barking orders to everyone in the production and he is bringing his frustrations home.

"Susan's fed up...They really do care for each other, but the stress over this project and Robert's behavior are causing a lot of tension," the source said.

Gossip Cop noted that the only accurate part of the tabloid story is that Dolittle did underwent reshoots but that was in early 2019. The Lego Batman Movie's Jonathan Liebesman and Chris McKay were also brought in to help director Stephen Gaghan shoot new scenes for the film.

The site also checked on its source close to the Downeys who assured that the couple's marriage is not in any kind of trouble. In fact, the Avengers star shared a sweet birthday tribute to his wife on her birthday in November.

The spouses have been working together in filmmaking business for over 10 years and a little hiccup at work wouldn't affect their personal lives. Susan Downey was also the producer on Iron Man 2 and the Sherlock Holmes franchise.

Gossip Cop noted that the only logical reason for OK! story is because Dolittle is set to hit cinemas this month. The site could be capitalizing on the upcoming release of the film.

Dolittle's original schedule for release in October 2018. It was pushed back to April 12, 2019 and then to January 17, 2020.

Meanwhile aside from Downey, the Hollywood stars that provided voices to the animals in Dolittle include Selena Gomez, Tom Holland, Emma Thompson, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Sheen, Antonio Banderas, and Rami Malek. Octavia Spencer, John Cena,, Craig Robinson, Kumail Nanjiani, Marion Cotillard, Frances de la Tour, and Carmen Ejogo also lend their voices for the movie.
