Melania Trump and Donald Trump's marriage has been a big mystery for the many. The two rarely display affection in public, leading to questions about their relationship. With that said, there are rumors that the First Lady of the United States may divorce her husband if he doesn't win the coming 2020 presidential election.
The President of the United States' former director of communications Omarosa Manigault Newman predicted that divorce is highly likely to happen for the couple based on her observations during her time at the White House, per People. Allegedly, the former model is only waiting to finish her time as the FLOTUS so that she could finally file for divorce.
It was the same thing that Monica Byrne said about Donald Trump and Melania Trump's bond. She, earlier, claimed that the First Lady wanted to end her marriage with the former television personality three years ago. However, his win as the U.S. President stopped her from doing so.
Also, the Trumps didn't like the idea that he would be a divorced man while serving his duty as the President of the United States at the Oval Office. Byrne also accused Melania Trump of having an affair with a security chief in one of the Trump Tower's establishments in New York, Perez Hilton noted.
Donald Trump, allegedly, knew his wife's affair, and they both agreed to stay married until the end of his term. Business Insider reported that this could be part of the prenuptial agreement between the couple. Their contract might have involved money, houses, or anything that a spouse deemed to be valuable enough to protect.
It could also be amended throughout a marriage to match the spouse's growing wealth or family. These things often come private until the terms come out in a divorce settlement. Donald Trump's win was said to be an unexpected path for their couple's life together.
Hence, there might be renegotiations of their initial prenuptial agreement, particularly by Melania Trump. Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein managing partner and divorce litigation specialist Jacqueline Newman explained that Melania could have been updated on the terms when she became the First Lady because of the extensive lifestyle changes she was about to experience.
Newman added that, no matter how much money Melania Trump was due to receive, she might want to have an increased amount. "If they were to divorce now or after he's no longer president, there's going to be security detail," she explained. "There's going to be all sorts of things that are going to be very different for her as a former first lady than if she was just Donald Trump's wife."
