As the New Year comes, the First Family is now sharing their resolution and a look back to the past year. Melania Trump shared a montage of everything she did for the people of America in 2019, and as expected, it is welcomed by criticisms and mockeries on Twitter.
Melania Trump posts a short clip of her activities in 2019 on Twitter, along with an inspiring New Year's message for her followers. "#2019 was a successful year! It was a privilege to meet so many incredible people," she captioned the video. "As we head into the New Year, I will continue speaking with children and encouraging them to #BeBest."
Be Best is the First Lady of the United States' awareness campaign that focuses on the well-being of youth, protecting them from cyberbullying and drug use. However, a lot of her followers questioned this move, especially with Donald Trump's continuous bullying.
One fan said that Melania Trump should do something about Donald Trump's abusive behavior. Another one reminded her that the President of the United States is locking up kids in concentration camps. So, he asked if he could be spared from her rhetoric about how much she cared about children.
A Twitter user even mocked the FLOTUS for being a horrible example for kids. Despite telling them not to bully, she has been married to a man who often bullies and even defends him in exchange for having a posh lifestyle. Another questioned when she would talk to her husband and encourage him to be best.
Meanwhile, when asked about her New Year's Resolution, Melania Trump said she wanted peace on the world. However, Donald Trump stopped her, saying she should not tell her resolution out loud.
It looked like the POTUS mistook resolution as a birthday wish that couldn't be said aloud. Hence, according to E! News, Donald Trump didn't want to say his resolution because it would be jinxed. Anyhow, he promised he had an excellent resolution, and it was for his country. He then went on to say that he loves the United States, and it has never been better than what it is now.
As his words already hit the news, fans and critics alike share their thoughts on Twitter. Twitter user @eegymce said that what he did was a birthday wish and not a resolution. @mr_boeb added that he was liked a child who was thinking of birthday wishes when blowing out candles.
