TWICE member Momo wrote a lengthy, heartfelt letter to her fans after it was confirmed that she is dating Super Junior member Heechul. In her lengthy message, the Japanese singer expressed her love for her fans and how she enjoys communicating with them.
In her handwritten letter posted on the official page of TWICE, Momo asked for their fans' understanding after she gave them an unexpected "surprise" as soon as the year started. The 23-year-old singer was referring to the news about her relationship with Heechul.
The dating rumors about her and Heechul began as the year changed. Both TWICE's label, JYP Entertainment, and Heechul's agency, Label SJ, later on, confirmed that the two are currently dating.
Over the years, the two often see each other in different shows. Momo was also featured in Heechul's chart-topping song "Sweet Dream" where she played as the love interest of two friends, Heechul and Kyunghoon.
Reports indicated that the two grew close in 2017. Since then, they developed a "senior-junior" working relationship. Dating rumors between the two began in August 2019, but they initially denied it. The speculations were finally confirmed earlier this year.
In her letter, Momo said she was cautious talking about the recent event on her life because of concern that it may hurt her fans more. She decided to write the letter as communicating openly with their fans, also called ONCE, makes her happy.
"To be honest, I contemplated a lot about whether I should write this letter. Whether this letter would hurt ONCE more. Whether not doing anything would be better for ONCE," she wrote.
Momo vowed to give their fans more happy and memorable moments this year. The singer also promised to communicate more often with ONCEs. She also expressed gratitude to them for their continued support and wished them all to have good health throughout the year.
Meanwhile, aside from dating Heechul, Momo also grabbed the headlines recently when she slipped during TWICE's performance at the 34th Golden Disc Awards. The group was performing their hit track "Fancy" when Momo slipped.
Throughout the entire performance, it was visible that the group's main dancer had a hard time keeping her balance because of the slippery floor. At one point, fellow TWICE member Jeongyeon held Momo's hand to keep her from falling again as they continue with their performance.
