X1 members were hit hard by the decision of their labels to disband the Kpop idol group amid the vote-rigging controversy that surrounded the results of Produce X101 last year. However, members of the group have taken to social media to express their love to the fans for their support.

According to a report by All Kpop, Kim Yo Hwan, Kang Min Hee, Song Hyeong Jun, Cho Seung Youn, and Kim Woo Seok posted handwritten letters addressed to their fandom ONE IT, apologizing to the fans for not being able to stick it out until the end.

In his letter, Kim Yo Hwan said that he was grateful for all the love and support given to X1 by the fans. While the members will take on different paths, they will continue to cheer each other on and do their best as individual artists. He promised to cherish the memories he had with ONE IT as well as his members.

For his part, Kim Woo Seok expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his agency, his members and ONE IT for all the things he learned as part of the X1.

"I received a lot of love. I learned a lot. I thought I could give you a lot in return, and I'm sorry I couldn't. I hope people will cheer me on so that I can greet everyone as soon as possible with a new dream," he said.

Starship Entertainment artists Kang Min Hee and Song Hyeong Jun also expressed their regret to the fans over the news of X1's disbandment.

According to Min Hee, he was worried about the fans who waited for good news to come out of the scandal that has tainted the show and regretted that he will be unable to continue giving back to ONE ITs the support that they received. Hyeong Jun said that even though their time together was short as members of X1, they will cherish the memories and the friendships that they have built together.

Cho Seung Youn also bid an emotional farewell to X1's supporters and asked fans to continue supporting the members in their separate journeys. He promised that he will fulfill his promise to ONE ITs to become someone who can repay the love he has received.

On Jan. 6, Play M Entertainment, Yuehua Entertainment, TOP Media, OUI Entertainment, MBK Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, DSP Media, Starship Entertainment, and Brand New Music announced the disbandment of X1, citing that the labels were unable to reach an agreement in terms of managing the idol group.

X1 was formed after the run of Produce X101 which came under fire last November after news broke out that the show's producers manipulated the results of the audience votes. Producers were also arrested over the controversy.
