The Sinner season 3 is set to premiere on USA Network this 2020. The crime drama series hasn't been on air for more than a year, so many were happy the show is coming back on the small screen. Fans were even more excited as the latest promo from the network teased that the upcoming installment is full of drama, as well as a new and creepy story.
In the 20-second clip of The Sinner season 3, the video subtly focused on the subject of lies. Matt Bomer will be playing the role of Jamie; an expecting father and a man who's at the center of a shocking case. Right now, USA Network hasn't released much detail on what to expect, but they're probably doing this for a reason.
Bomer's Jamie is a mysterious guy and some secrets from his past have been revealed after a car accident. Some of his secrets were likely tied to his relationship with Chris Messina's character, Nick; someone he knew from college. There are a lot of things that need to be figured out with these two new characters, especially since the new season will revolve around them.
Bill Pullman is coming back as Ambrose in The Sinner season 3. Although some of the previously released promos don't exactly reveal what viewers can expect with the character, one clip teased a paper puzzle-of-sorts that Ambrose sees. It looks like a game for kids where you answer random questions, but it isn't an ordinary game in the minds as something a little bit crazier going on here.
The Sinner season 3 focuses on Jamie and Nick; both are frenemies from college. They got involved in a car accident Upstate New York and it turns out that these two were hiding some secrets. So, Ambrose needs to investigate this mysterious accident to uncover the truth. Furthermore, he would discover a hidden truth which would lead him to the "most dangerous and disturbing case" of his career.
Meanwhile, aside from the new and creepy story in The Sinner season 3, the latest installment is also relying on its stars. For instance, Bomer joining the series caused a huge excitement to many viewers. Also, the first two seasons received positive reviews, thanks to Pullman. The previous installments were both complex and delivered interesting mysteries. Thus, the new season could be more of the same as well.
The Sinner season 3 is set to arrive on Thursday, Feb. 6, on USA Network.
