Barron Trump is the only son of Melania Trump to President Donald Trump. Despite being only a 13-year-old kid, he has already experienced receiving criticisms and unpleasant comments from the public.
Apparently, the teenage boy has never been active in the eyes of the public. He only made appearances a few times alongside her parents.
But, even if he has not been seen at all times, he is still getting a lot of attention, especially in recent months. Accordingly, it is not surprising why his mother, the First Lady of the United States, has been very protective of him.
According to reports, Melania Trump recently released a statement during her interview with Parenting. Aside from sharing some insights on how she is as a mother and as a wife, she also said that her teenage kid is a very "independent" and "opinionated" child.
It was also reported that at a very young age, he already knows what he wants. Barron is "smart" and special, Melania described.
The president's wife continued to reveal a few more details about her only child. She shared that she has a "special nickname" for Barron.
As revealed, she calls him "little Donald" because of his similarities with his father. While he got the looks from both of his parents, Melania said that his "personality" is the reason behind the nickname.
This all came after Barron made the headlines on several accounts. As it happened, several individuals "bullied" him on social media claiming a lot of unpleasant things about him.
Some of the notable instances that Melania Trump reportedly addressed during the interview included Saturday Night Live's writer, Katie Rich's mockery over the then-10-year-old kid. She claimed on her social media account that Barron will be U.S.'s "first homeschooled shooter." New York Times, later on, unveiled that the celebrity was suspended by the network.
Aside from the celebrity, popular journalist, Caitlin Moran, also said a few things about Barron Trump. She said that the president's son is like "Joffrey Baratheon," a sadistic villainous character from HBO's Game of Thrones.
These are only some of the apparent bullying incidents that the First Lady's son received in the last few years. There are a lot more, especially during Donald Trump's impeachment hearings.
Melania Trump just recently slammed back Democrat Pamela Karlan after dragging Barron's name in one of the hearings. She said in one of her social media posts that "underage children" should not be included in politics. Moreover, they should be given the "privacy" that they deserve.
