Kate Middleton made a new statement with her latest fashion outing on her birthday week. Royal style experts saw the Duchess of Cambridge's new style and praised her funky look that seemed to be a departure from the usual pieces she donned. It was even called as a big moment for her.

Royally Obsessed presenters Kaitlin Menza and Lisa Ryan talked about the future queen consort's outfit when she went to Sandringham to attend a church service during her birthday week. They described her attire "wild," saying it was a departure to her usual style, per Express.

At the time, Kate Middleton wore a patterned coat in really cool "foxy colors." She paired it with a blue fedora hat wrapped with a pheasant feather. "She looked incredible, she looked fashion-forward, so chic," Ryan said.

Menza added that it was very funky of her to opt for that fashion. It was so bold of Prince William's wife to wear those new colors, patterns, feathers, and boots that caught everyone's eye. With her fresh taste, it was said to be something wild from the usual.

Although the word wild seemed to be bizarre to call Kate Middleton, with that kind of outfit she wore to church, it still looked appropriate. By the looks of it, it was a real moment that felt like a real birthday celebration for the princess.

Kate Middleton turned 38 years old on Thursday, Jan. 9. Despite Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's announcement overshadowed her special day, other members of the royal family didn't forget to greet her on her birthday, per Entertainment Tonight.

Queen Elizabeth II dedicated a post on Instagram to her granddaughter-in-law.The official royal family account that represents Her Majesty and Buckingham Palace altogether wished her a happy birthday, along with a series of photos of them together in different royal engagements.

Of course, Prince William's father, Prince Charles, and wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also shared a post for Kate Middleton's birthday. They, too, shared photos with the Cambridges.

Although Kensington Palace is known as Prince William and Kate Middleton's account, it shared a stunning portrait of the mother of three, captured by the royal photographer Matt Porteous. In the caption, they thanked everyone who sent all their lovely messages to Kate's birthday.

Despite the big issue Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face today, they also left a comment on Kensington Palace's post. Although they didn't make a post of their own on their Instagram account, Sussex Royal, they greeted her happy birthday and left a cake and heart emoji.
