The British Royal Family, especially the senior royals, has been always known for their "stiffed upper lip" attitude and well-poised approach to almost anything on their plates. But, despite having this kind of stance within the monarchy, royals are still human beings. Certainly, there are times wherein they cannot control extreme emotions, like shedding a tear even in public.

According to Hello! magazine, some of these moments were captured on clips and photos. While many of them reportedly happened in the past, there are still some of these that just occurred in recent times.

The publication further added that the royals who "broke down" in tears during public engagements were not only members coming from the British Royal Family. As reported, members of other royal families outside the United Kingdom were also spotted several times crying, either subtly or blatantly.

But, focusing on the British Royal Family, it was revealed that many of the members were already seen shedding a tear in various events; all the way from Queen Elizabeth II going to the duchesses of the monarchy.

As per Express UK, the Queen was already spotted quite too many times since then, especially during Remembrance Day. However, it was in the years 2002 and 2019 wherein she was much more emotional than the other years.

Other reports also claimed that Queen Elizabeth II became emotional in December 1997. It was the time when she said to "goodbye" to her "luxury yacht," the beloved HMY Britannia,

As explained, it was "decommissioned" after the costs of utilizing became difficult to maintain. The ship was said to serve the Royal Family for more than four decades.

Aside from the Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla was also reported to break down in tears during her visit to the Safelives Centre in London. This was said to happen four years ago as she spoke with the victims of domestic abuse.

Prince Charles' first wife, Princess Diana, was one of the members of the Royal Family who was seen to become quite emotional in various public engagements. Considering that she was an active advocate of several advocacies, she was exposed to many instances where her emotions were stirred.

Similarly, Duchesses Kate and Meghan were also reported recently to cry in public during their respective visits to East Anglia Children's Hospices charity and Tonga. While the Duchess of Cambridge shed a tear due to unfortunate events experienced by many women and children in the area, the Duchess of Sussex's tears were said to be of joy.
