Kate Middleton is turning 38 on Thursday. While everyone is waiting for the duchess' grand celebration for this year, it was revealed that she already had a "lavish" bash last weekend, along with their "closest" friends and families.

But, reports have been stating that many individuals are convinced that she will have more celebrations just like what she did in the past few years. As it happened, she was revealed to normally have two to three birthday parties.

According to Express UK, the Duchess of Cambridge invited the family's long-time friends over their country home at Anmer Hall. Along with her husband, Prince William, they reportedly celebrated Kate's birthday with various "traditional country pursuits."

Although it was not detailedly revealed what specific activities they did during the weekend, it was cited that they all did some "shooting" at the royal's Norfolk home. After the quick weekend getaway, though, the Cambridge couple immediately headed toward London to resume their royal duties.

As further revealed by sources, Kate Middleton's birthdays in the past few years were celebrated together with Queen Elizabeth II in Sandringham. It was claimed that the monarch normally hosted dinners for the Cambridges as well as the family's friends.

This year, however, Kate and their friends simply joined the Queen for the Sunday morning service at the St. Mary Magdalene church. Some also stated that the duchess' parents, Carole and Michael Middleton arrived to be with their daughter during the weekend celebration.

No confirmations yet how the duchess will celebrate her birthday back in Kensington Palace. But, sources from the same publication revealed that Kate Middleton always makes her birthdays about her three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. It was even noted that she gives the kids presents on the day of her birthday.

Now, if the same dynamic will be pushed through this year, then it is likely that the Cambridge family will have a low-key celebration on Thursday.

In other related news, New Idea magazine claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry felt left out after Kate Middleton and Prince William "snubbed" them for the weekend celebration. As alleged by sources, the Cambridge couple did not invite the Sussex family at their royal country home.

It is worth noting, however, that no one knows if this is true. Nevertheless, the duke and duchess' absence during the weekend gathering sparked a lot of questions among the fans whether the two households are still "feuding" if in case that there is truly a rift.
