The anticipation of where Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's friendship is heading is getting intense after they had a very public reunion during the recent Golden Globe Awards. Now, new rumors have emerged that the former couple has been planning to adopt a baby in Mexico.
New Idea published a story revealing that Pitt and Aniston traveled to Mexico on New Year's Day and visited an orphanage to adopt a baby. The outlet alleged that the two made a military-level of covert planning, and only a few trusted friends knew about it.
New Idea cited a source as saying Brad and Jen visited an orphanage in Tijuana while both of them are in Mexico. The publication alleged that the orphanage is Casa Hogar Sion, which the Friends actress has been supporting for years now.
"Jen is a huge fan of this particular orphanage... She is the main donor...If they do wind up officially getting back together and adopting a baby, this would be the perfect place for them to adopt from," the source said.
Gossip Cop, however, made the story straight. Though both Pitt and Aniston were indeed in Mexico over the New Year's holiday, there were at the opposite sides of the country at the time. Jen visited Tulum along with some of her famous friends, including Jason Bateman and Jimmy Kimmel. Brad, on the other hand, traveled to Puerto Vallarta on a private jet.
Gossip Cop noted that Tulum and Puerto Vallarta are about five to six hours of flight apart. This means the ex-couple was never near each other or even in Tijuana during their separate trips to Mexico.
Reps for both Hollywood A-list stars also denied that the two were together in a New Year's holiday getaway, nor they are planning to adopt a baby. It is true Brad and Jen are now friends again, but their camps stressed that their relationship remains just that.
Meanwhile, New Idea further claimed that when Brad and Jen reunited during the Golden Globe afterparty, The Morning Show actress refrained from drinking to show her support to her former husband. The Once Upon A Time in Hollywood actor has been sober for several years now.
The site added Jen also made sure that Brad knew how proud she is of him for winning an award at the Golden Globes and how much she loves his speech. During the actor's acceptance speech for his Best Supporting Actor award, a beaming Jennifer Aniston was captured by the cameras as she listens to his speech.
