Princess Eugenie might likely be the person to take over Prince Harry's royal roles in The Firm. Royal experts believe that she will be given more duties as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex move to Canada for half the year.

According to Harry Mount, who wrote the book "How England Made the English," Princess Eugenie or her sister Princess Beatrice could be asked to "take up the slack" now that Prince Andrew and Prince Harry will no longer be full-time serving royals.

Prince Andrew, the father of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, resigned from his royal duties last November amid the backlash of his interview with BBC. The Duke of York failed to gain public sympathy for explaining his friendship with the billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Two months later, his nephew, the Duke of Sussex, announced that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, will be balancing their time between Canada and London. Thus, they will need to step back on their work in the royal family.

Prince Harry and Meghan are still waiting for the finalization of their new roles after their crisis talks in Sandringham last Monday. Queen Elizabeth has given her blessings to the Sussexes but their arrangement to live in Canada is still being sorted out in the royal houses. However, once everything is set, their workload will likely be passed on to other members of the royal family.

Royal correspondent Russel Myers don't think that Princess Eugenie is the right person to assume the jobs that Prince Harry and Meghan won't be able to attend to while they are in Canada. In the podcast Pod Save the Queen, Myers said that the York sisters are non-working members of the royal family.

Additionally, Prince Charles, apparently, want to trim down the number of working royals. Myers suggested that the future king didn't agree when Prince Andrew asked that his daughters take over his charities and patronages following his resignation. Hence, the Prince of Wales might not allow the same arrangement in the absence of Prince Harry.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have jobs of their own, anyway. They earn private incomes from these careers, which could be similar to the life that Prince Harry and Meghan want to lead. Princess Beatrice works as the Vice President of a software company. Princess Eugenie is a director of the Hauser & Wirth art gallery.
