The popularity game has been a part of any public figure’s life. And yes, even royals have to deal with this as well.

Now, a Delta Poll has revealed the most and least popular members of the royal family. Participants were then broken down by age into groups for voting: Millennials, Generation X, and Baby Boomers.

"I just want to show you a generational divide in what people think about the royals. This is a delta poll that took senior members of the royal family that you can see here and they asked people ‘which of these royals makes a positive contribution to the country?’” Anushka Asthana told ITV's Peston. "Then they broke it down by age. So blue is Millennials in their 20s and 30s, red is Generation X in their 40s and 50s and yellow are the Baby Boomers.”

The figures then revealed that Prince William was ranked as the most popular. The Duke of Cambridge is the second in the line of succession to the British throne, and people have seen a lot of potential in him to be a successful king someday.

"All groups put Prince William highest, but interestingly, he has way more support amongst the Baby Boomers than Millennials who were also much less keen on Prince Charles,” she said. "In fact, the 71-year-old heir to the thrown gets just two points more than Meghan among Millennials when it comes to making a positive contribution.”

Meghan Markle, on the other hand, was ranked as the least popular member of the royal family. After the Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry in 2018, she has received a lot of backlashes over little things. Now, people are blaming her for all the hate that the younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana is currently getting.

"Although Baby Boomers are not so keen on the Duchess of Sussex, only nine percent said she made a positive contribution,” Anushka Asthana said.

Last week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they would resign as senior royals. Although their revelation was shocking, a statement of Queen Elizabeth via Buckingham Palace revealed that she supports their decision.

Her Majesty summoned Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry on Monday, where they had a “very constructive discussion” regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's withdrawal. The Queen then noted that the final decisions would be “reached in the coming days.”
