Prince William and Kate Middleton hosted a reception in Buckingham Palace earlier this week for the African leaders amid the UK-Africa Investment Summit.

While Prince Harry was present to share a statement the night before the reception about the Sussex family's decision to leave the royal life, he shortly left the United Kingdom the day after. This left Prince William to host the meetings for the United for Wildlife (UfW) taskforces during the summit.

According to Metro UK, the UfW is an initiative "established" by the Royal Foundation in 2014, which was a "joint venture" between the Cambridge couple and the Duke of Sussex. It was also explained that the United for Wildlife "works to combat" the trades of illegal wildlife through the means of bringing in together various organizations, global corporations, law enforcement, and government institutions.

The publication noted that the event was held the same day Prince Harry flew to North America to reunite with his family. Many reports claimed that this is already the beginning of the Sussex couple's new life outside the monarchy and the United Kingdom.

It is worth noting that Prince William's brother, along with his wife, Meghan Markle, took a six-week off from royal duties last year. This came after their "bombshell" documentary interview with Tom Bradby revealing their "struggles" living the royal life.

During the first week of the new year, the Sussex couple came back to London to visit various organizations. But, it came as a surprise when they announced that they are already stepping down as senior royals to lead a life that is "financially-independent."

Meghan Markle flew back to Canada just after the announcement was made. But, as for her husband, he stayed a few days more to finalize the "royal exit deal" with the rest of the British Royal Family.

As per Express UK, Prince William was left alone to deal and lead the meetings. While many individuals see it as a negative thing considering how the narrative was put in the reports, the publication revealed that Prince Harry already left the foundation, along with all of the projects and initiatives almost a year ago, including the United for Wildlife.

The reports previously stated that upon the Sussex's transfer to the Frogmore Cottage from the Kensington Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also separated ways from the Cambridge household in terms of advocacies and initiatives.

Although no direct confirmation has been made about the separation except for building their own identity as the Sussex family, many fans and experts are convinced that it was all about the rumored rift between the two couples.
