Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shocked the royal family to its very core when they announced their decision to step back from their royal duties. The Sussexes wanted to divide their time between the United Kingdom and North America and be financially independent. Although this didn't come as a surprise after they revealed the scrutiny they were experiencing, someone was said to be behind this shocking move.

According to Daily Express, multiple sources claimed that the major force behind the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision came from Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland. One insider said that, when the royal couple announced their plan, "it immediately smacked of Doria."

Allegedly, being financially independent has always been of great importance for Doria Ragland. The known yoga instructress has been reportedly seen a lot with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as they start to begin their new lives.

Doria Ragland, reportedly, goes back and forth to be with her daughter and son-in-law. In fact, when she's not with them, she's always on the phone. Even Prince Harry, allegedly, turns to her to ask for some advice that she ultimately becomes her rock.

Just like Queen Elizabeth II, Doria Ragland has the same attitude of "never complains and never explains." Although she seems to be laidback with her nose ring on and dreadlocks, she is a tough mother who is willing to do everything for her child, just like others.

Doria Ragland is said to help Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with their new lives, from staff issues to living arrangements. She is one of the few people that they trust today.

The Daily Beast noted that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been hinting their plan to create their own path. In November 2018, they decided to move out of Kensington palace -- away from Prince William and Kate Middleton -- to live on their own in Frogmore Cottage.

Their move was, then, followed by their intention to split their household from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in March 2019. It only meant that they would have their own social media account, the Sussex Royal, and communication staff.

After that, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke away from the Royal Foundation that officially ended the "fab four" group. They are now working on to create their own foundation but insist on to work together with Prince William and Kate Middleton on the Heads Together mental health campaign. Anyhow, despite their moves, they still vow to support the Queen.
