People have certain expectations when it comes to idols. For instance, fans believe that all of the members of SEVENTEEN are physically fit enough to go through their complex dance choreographies and lengthy concerts. Not surprisingly, Wonwoo has just proven that he does have "abs". However, the group's lead rapper also failed to lift an eight-kilogram dumbbell during a particularly hilarious challenge.

The latest episode of Going Seventeen titled 'Mystery Mystery #1' featured the members of the boy group going up against some food challenges. It is important to note that only 11 members of SEVENTEEN participated in the challenges since leader S.Coups is still in hiatus as he receives treatment for his anxiety. In addition to that, Jeonghan is also absent as the episode may have been recorded when he was on break last year. Although they had to work without two of their eldest members, the rest of the group still managed to have fun.

The theme of the episode was special New Year's food and the first challenge was to eat a serving of japchae (Korean stir-fried glass noodles) within five seconds. However, the members would have to use special utensils assigned to a number of their choice. For instance, The8 chose the number eight, which was assigned chopsticks. Needless to say, it was easy for Xu Minghao to consume the noodles although he wasn't able to finish the serving.

When it was Wonwoo's turn to go to the front, the other members immediately pointed out that his shirt made it look like he had more abs. The rapper immediately opened his jacket to show off his "abs", much to the delight of his fellow members. However, Jeon Wonwoo also had to prove his strength when he chose the number 18, to which a special 8-kg dumbbell fork was assigned.

At first, it looked like Wonwoo had no problem lifting the dumbbell. However, getting the noodles on the fork and into his mouth proved to be very difficult. Unfortunately, Wonwoo was unable to eat anything and he failed the challenge.

While Wonwoo had a hard time with the special dumbbell fork, his fellow SEVENTEEN member Joshua found an interesting technique to deal with the problem. Having been assigned a 15-kg dumbbell fork, Hong Jisoo chose to remain standing (Wonwoo sat down, making it difficult to maneuver the fork) and was able to eat some of the japchae. Sadly, it was too late for Wonwoo to use the same technique.
