One of the best things about SEVENTEEN is that two of their members, Vernon and Joshua, are bilingual and speak fluent English. This awesome feature makes it easy for the boy group to communicate with their international fans who do not understand Korean. However, there are times when being bilingual can also be complicated for the idols. For instance, Hong Jisoo recently forgot that he was still speaking in Korean during the SVT concert in Los Angeles.
SEVENTEEN is currently on their world tour and their most recent stop was in Los Angeles, California. Coincidentally, L.A. also happens to be Joshua's hometown so it was a truly special day for the group's lead vocalist. On the other hand, it seemed like Hong Jisoo got a little too comfortable speaking straight Korean although he was back home. This was shown in an adorable moment during the SVT concert at The Forum in L.A.
During the concert, Joshua shared why he was so proud of fellow SEVENTEEN member Hoshi. According to the Vocal Team lead singer, Kwon Soonyoung had been trying very hard to learn something new during their world tour. First, he explains that it is really good that Hoshi has been very good with every city they stop in, then states in English that his fellow idol "learns a new phrase."
It was at this moment that Joshua realized that the interpreter was translating his sentences and he had an adorable reaction to it. After laughing about his minor error, he continued praising Hoshi for his efforts.
It was truly an adorable and hilarious moment for Joshua but he quickly handled it like a pro. Needless to say, this is one talented idol who can deal with any situation and still look cute.
Not surprisingly, Joshua revealed that his return to L.A. was truly special. During the SEVENTEEN V Live following the concert, Hong Jisoo revealed that his mother, uncle, and other family members were in attendance. With that in mind, there is little doubt that this was truly a special concert for Joshua.
Although SEVENTEEN is currently on their world tour, they are also notably missing one important member. Group leader S. Coups has chosen not to join the tour to seek help on his anxiety. Nevertheless, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Vernon, Seungkwan, and Dino continue to make sure Choi Seung Cheol is still a part of each performance.
