There is no official word on when Tesla plans to unveils its Tesla Model Y Crossovers. However, the company continues to do some testing on the said vehicle, and two of them were spotted over in Colorado recently.

Spotting one is a rarity, and perhaps only a certified Tesla owner can easily identify one. One was able to capture footage of the two Tesla Model Y Crossovers, possibly supercharging after visibly coming from some offroad testing, Teslarati reported. In the video by YouTube host Rocket which can be seen below, the two Crossovers could be seen parked beside a Tesla Model 3.

According to Rocket, there were also four engineers present when they spotted the two Tesla vehicles. Each vehicle was equipped with possibly testing equipment in the cabin. Believed to be a Tesla variant designed for city driving ideal for big groups like families, it appears that that the Tesla Model Y could be an off-road option running on electric power. It remains to be seen if this pitch will help boost its marketability.

Tesla may start deliveries of the Tesla Model Y this coming summer. However, there is a chance that they could come out earlier, an offshoot of the recent sightings. Alternatively, a plausible release date for the Model Y could be at the upcoming Q4 2019 earnings call - a perfect time to reveal the said vehicle.

The Tesla Model Y is designed to accommodate 7 passengers plus cargo. The second row can be folded, allowing more storage for various stuff owners may want to transport. The vehicle will rely on two ultra-responsive and independent electric motors that digitally control the torque of the front and rear wheels. This means the Model Y should perform well in various weather conditions such as snow, mud and off-road per Tesla.com. It comes with 20-inch performance wheels which were seen in the video above.

As far as the longevity of charge, the Tesla Model Y can store full energy if charged overnight. It can go at an estimated range of 280 miles with a top speed of 150 MPH. It can accommodate a maximum cargo volume of 66 cu. ft.

Inside, the Tesla Model Y has a 15-inch touchscreen display, an immersive sound system, and an expansive all-glass roof. The vehicle is also expected to come with the standard emergency braking, collision warning, blind-spot monitoring and more. A curious feature will be the Full Self-Driving capability although it is still pending regulatory approval.
