If there is a good thing that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to step down brings, it is making Prince William and Prince Charles much closer. The Duke of Cambridge is said to have a strained relationship with his father, but everything seems to change after the Sussexes' controversial royal exit.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's departure reportedly brought a positive effect on Prince William and Prince Charles' relationship. Royal expert Richard Kay said that the father and son now come together to unite and solve the royal crisis at the Sandringham summit earlier this month.

"For all their polished, easy-going charm both boys are notoriously thin-skinned," he said, per the Daily Mail. Kay revealed that it was true that Prince Harry got mad when Prince William warned him about his romance with Meghan Markle. It was also correct that William and Kate Middleton didn't warmly welcome the former actress.

With the tension between the two brothers, they both "failed to drawback." Hence, it was no surprise that the broadcaster Tom Bradby revealed that Prince Harry made a wry smile when he learned that the royal crisis brought Prince William and Prince Harry closer after being barely on speaking terms.

"Perhaps one of the few positives is that the entire crisis has pushed Prince Charles and his elder son closer together for the first time in years," he said on The Times. According to New Idea, the two are putting aside their hurt as they are worried for the effect of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to leave their royal lives.

Prince Charles and Prince William are reportedly reaching out to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with "love and affection on standby" in their time of need. They are afraid that the paparazzi culture and media intrusion in their new place can be worst without the royal family's protection.

The two are doing their very best to let the couple know that they are still welcome to return to the United Kingdom even if they don't perform their royal duties. A source also said that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are more vulnerable without the royal family's safeguard.

Allegedly, Prince William and Prince Charles are making contingency plans whenever Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decide to return. Knowing that they are fragile, nobody will tell them that they can't come back to their home.
