Several individuals, especially royal fans and supporters were shocked and alarmed after "King Charles" trended on social media. It was said that they thought Queen Elizabeth II died after the reported health crisis she had a few days ago.

But, after digging deeper about the trending topic, it was learned that the King Charles being referred to was not the Heir Apparent, Prince Charles. As it happened, this was a "commemoration" of King Charles I's execution in 1649.

According to Express UK, hundreds of Twitter users in the United Kingdom "marked the anniversary" yesterday as this was the same day his execution happened many centuries ago. However, not everyone remembered the historical event, which then caused the commotion among netizens.

Quite obviously, many individuals were left alarmed and shocked upon seeing "King Charles" as they thought that the Prince of Wales already "succeeded" his mother, the Queen. Thankfully, though, things were immediately clarified leaving everyone in a good laugh.

Based on assertions, several netizens shared their thoughts on the platform about the huge confusion they had. Some stated that they were completely shaken upon seeing the trending topic. Even so, one user reportedly shared that when Prince Charles assumes the position in the future, he will likely disregard his first name as he does not want to be called "King Charles III."

The reason behind this is that the two first Kings were executed due to treason. Accordingly, it is not surprising why the Prince of Wales does not want to be the next person to use the name.

As explained further by the publication, it is likely that Prince Charles will instead choose to use one of his other names when he becomes the King. Considering that his full name is Charles Philip Arthur George, he can be either King Arthur or King Philip.

Royal experts, however, are inclining toward his fourth name. Previous claims were revealed that the Prince of Wales might instead use King George VII in honor of his grandfather, King George VI.

But, whatever name he chooses for when he ascends to the throne, this is not yet going to happen today. This is because it was clarified that Queen Elizabeth II is now back to her work after her reported "health crisis" last week.

Express UK shared that the monarch's schedule is now all set. She will reportedly be in Norfolk on Monday to visit the RAF Marham. This will also be followed by the launch of the new Wolferton Pumping Station next week.
