There is little doubt that SEVENTEEN is a close-knit group. Although there are 13 members, these men have been together for almost five years and that's not counting the time they underwent training. Needless to say, the idols have developed an amazing trust for each other throughout the years. This bond was recently proven by Wonwoo when his fellow member Mingyu asked him for a huge favor.
The official SEVENTEEN YouTube channel has just released a new installment called IF which featured some of the members participating in a series of games. The members in attendance were Jeonghan, Hoshi, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. In the episode, the idols had to deal with several challenges that were connected to their past. For instance, they had to recreate Jeonghan's improvised choreography in the Part Switch version of the Don't Wanna Cry music video.
Although all of the challenges were truly entertaining, it was Mingyu's mission that had even the other members of SEVENTEEN absolutely impressed. Kim Mingyu was required to send a text message to a fellow member to get them to respond within a minute. The twist was, his message had to ask the other person to lend them 1 million won.
Mingyu considered the mission for a few moments then asked his companions if Wonwoo would be an ideal candidate. Not surprisingly, the other members agreed and Kim Mingyu immediately sent a text to his fellow rapper. "Hyung, I'm asking because it's urgent: could you lend me 1 million won? I'll pay you back right away... it's urgent," the message read. As soon as the message was sent, the timer started.
Interestingly, Wonwoo got the message right away and Mingyu was truly excited when he saw that his text was marked "read" within 10 seconds. However, the mission is not yet completed since he needed a response from Wonwoo. Naturally, the other members of SEVENTEEN were concerned that Jeon Wonwoo wouldn't answer since he had previously left Mingyu on "read."
Amazingly, Wonwoo sent a response with 20 seconds left in the timer. However, it was his reply that truly impressed the other SEVENTEEN members. Jeon Wonwoo's brief text only read, "Account number," meaning he was asking Mingyu for his account so he could send the 1 million won. The mission starts at the 14:16 mark in the video below.
It was an awesome response that proved Wonwoo would do anything for a dongsaeng in need with no questions asked. Needless to say, Wonwoo is one guy you would want to be friends with.
