Supernatural season 15 is, now, on hiatus and will be coming on The CW next month. The current season serves as the final installment, which only means it will wrap up all the stories from the past. Just recently, it was revealed that younger versions of Sam and Dean are coming in the series' final run.

TVLine reported that Supernatural season 15 is planning to resurrect young Sam and young Dean in one of the final episodes. They  are searching for actors who could play the characters' role. In season 11, Colin Ford and Dylan Everett played the younger Winchesters.

The series managed to bring young actors to play the roles, but the major complication is that these actors age. Now, according to the report, the producers are looking for a 9-year-old actor to play young Sam and a 13-year-old actor to play Dean.

Reportedly, the episode will air towards the end of Supernatural season 15. Here, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles' younger counterparts embark on one of their first hunts together. A rep from the series declined to comment about the subject.

According to CarterMatt, the series decided to bring younger versions of Dean and Sam so that viewers will see their early days as kids. Since Supernatural season 15 would be the last, they will dive deeper into the characters' origin before saying goodbye to them.

The final installment has been great and featured cameos and guest-star appearances. However, it is also all about the final battle with the big bad: God or Chuck. He's been part of the series for quite some time but the Winchesters just recently realized how much he's been manipulating them.

The main question here is: how will Sam and Dean take down God? With their "heroes luck" now restored, the brothers will try to understand what the Goddess of Luck meant when she told them don't try to beat God in his own game and let him play their games instead.

As for Jack and Billie, they also want to be a big part of the plan. Jack is trying to gain more strength through fighting while God is off-world. Thus, fans can see him hunting down more creatures to gain more power, and with Castiel's help.

Meanwhile, Ackles shared his thoughts about the finale in an interview last summer. He said that he struggled for weeks or so, and realized he's too invested. The actor said it's hard to digest seeing anything with finality. But eventually, he realized that it's satisfying and a good ending.

Supernatural season 15 returns on Monday, March 16, on The CW.
