After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's extended break in November, they return to the United Kingdom earlier last month with a "bombshell" surprise. They announced that they will be stepping down as senior royals and hoping to become "financially independent" while in service to the Crown.

Quite obviously, this sent "shockwaves" across the globe considering that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have just started their lives as a royal couple. Upon making their plans known through their official Instagram account, the former Suits actress, Meghan Markle reportedly flew back to Canada to be with her son, Archie Harrison, and her mother, Doria Ragland.

Based on reports, Prince Charles' youngest son, Prince Harry was left behind in the UK to have the "crisis talk" with Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the senior royals. Accordingly, it is not surprising why the UK press, as well as the nation's politicians, has something to say about the royal debacle.

But, what surprised a lot of people was that the Democratic candidate and presidential hopeful, Pete Buttigieg reportedly "referenced" the controversy surrounding the Royal Family in his speech.

As per Express UK, the politician "took a swipe" at the family's controversial Megxit deal last month. He was said to claim that he is happy to be "part of the American system."

He then reportedly shared that he does not know whether the audience has been following the Royal Family in recent times. Even so, it seemed like he has come to a realization that "through most of the human history," it always involved family, "inheritance," and even "mayhem" when deciding who will "govern a country."

Pete Buttigieg then attested that in the United States today, "it involves something different." He shared that it involves the "process of deciding" where the country is headed, as well as the actual "coming to communities" to explain why the people need to "caucus" for you.

The same narrative was reported by The Hill and revealed that the politician referenced the Royal Family, especially Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal exit, just a week after the Sussex couple made the announcement.

Despite catching the attention of many royal fans and supporters, nothing much has been said toward the Democratic politician. As it appears, the rest of the public, especially the royal followers, have been quite focused on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's movements. In fact, until today, their shocking exit has been still tackled by many publications and magazines.
