Meghan Markle has now become a "multi-millionaire" in her own right. Even before she married Prince Harry, the former actress was able to pull herself up in the industry allowing her to land major roles from several projects.

Among all her acting gigs, her character as Rachel Zane in USA Network's legal drama series, Suits, became her pivotal platform in Hollywood. With her reported earnings of £37,000 or $47,870 per episode, she obtained a total net worth of £3.8 million or almost $5 million.

Aside from her acting career, her earnings from her popular blog, The Tig, has been reportedly factored in as well. However, this was not the case at all when she started her career. As revealed by the Duchess herself, she used to be "broke."

According to Express UK, Meghan Markle was "struggling for money" in the past that she could not even fix the door of her car. She was even deemed "too poor" because of this.

Based on claims, the Duchess used to have her Ford Explorer when she was still hustling for gigs "here and there." One day, the clicker failed to open her locked doors. Although she tried all possible ways, it was all "to no avail."

Thankfully, though, the hatchback trunk opened with the use of a different key as per royal biographer, Andrew Morton. So, since she was running out of time due to her schedule that day, she had no other option but, to "crawl in" through the back.

Upon reaching the casting studio where she was headed, she had to park far away from the rest of the cars. The former actress then had to exit the same way, he explained.

As added by the NZ Herald, Meghan Markle had to do this for months since she had no money to have the doors of her car fixed. From one audition to another, she reportedly had to use the boot to climb in and out of her car.

Aside from the jammed doors, it was also revealed that the then-actress had to tie her car's number plate to the bumper using any available resources around her. Also, it was claimed that this car of hers had her worrying since it "sounded" like a "steamboat engine."

In 2010, though, it was said that all her hard work paid off. Meghan Markle reportedly had a small part in the film, Remember Me, wherein she played the role of a bartender named Megan. A year later, she finally landed her major role in Suits.
