When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their decision to step down as senior royals, everyone was shocked. But, it was alleged that Prince William and Kate Middleton were the most affected royals upon learning about the controversial Megxit.
Aside from the added responsibilities and duties, several individuals claimed that no one from the Royal Family primarily knew about the Sussex couple's plans. It was then reported that they only knew about it ten minutes earlier the infamous social media post.
Various reports stated that even Queen Elizabeth II was "upset" after knowing what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did. Hence, it was not surprising why Prince William and Kate Middleton would feel something negative, considering that the couple has been very close to Prince Harry.
According to The Sun UK, the Duke of Cambridge felt "angry" when his brother decided to step down and planned to become "financially independent." Based on claims, he had been hoping for his younger brother to help him throughout his path in becoming the next King of the United Kingdom.
However, other sources contended that he felt "sad" more than anger toward the controversial royal exit. Also, it was said that Prince William felt "upset" that the Duke of Sussex left the United Kingdom even if they are "not in good terms."
As per Express UK, several insiders from various publications revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left without patching things up, especially with the future King and Queen Consort. This is why they have been reportedly feeling much sadder.
While this narrative might be true, the publication also shared that some sources believed that Prince William and Kate Middleton are "relieved" that the Megxit controversy is now over. Accordingly, they can now "resume" their communications with the Sussex couple. In fact, things are now "warming up," another source added.
It is worth noting that the so-called "fab four" have been the center of many reports since then. Aside from their impressive works and initiatives, the reports have been much more focused on the alleged rift between the two couples.
Initial speculations seemed to conclude that the alleged disputes were because of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. However, recent claims were convinced that it was all because of the two Princes of Wales. This was even "partially confirmed" by Prince Harry in the infamous bombshell interview with ITV.
All in all, though, it is now believed that things have been doing better for both parties. Despite the lack of confirmation from the royals, fans and supporters are now looking forward to much better relationships among the four royals.
