Brad Pitt has swept this award season. The actor took home the Best Supporting Actor award from the 2020 Oscars in addition to the trophies he gathered from several other award-giving bodies. As Brad counts his accolades, here's a look back on a rumor last year that centered around the actor's sobriety.

A year ago, Star claimed to have information on the video that it declared could destroy Pitt. The clip, allegedly, featured the actor drunk after his infamous altercations with his oldest son, Maddox, during a private flight with the Jolie-Pitt family.

It can be recalled that, in 2016, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the Once Upon a Time In Hollywood actor. There were reports that the couple's marriage fell apart after the fight between Brad and Maddox on their flight.

Star claimed there was a "witness" who captured footage of Pitt exiting the plane and taking a "drunken joy ride" in an airport golf cart. The tabloid added Jolie is, now, planning to use this footage against Brad over their custody battle of their six children.

Gossip Cop debunked the rumor then and insisted that no such tape ever existed or leaked. The site also pointed out the "exclusive photos" that Star claimed to have as proof that the video exists were admitted to have been altered.

Up to this day, no video of drunk Brad Pitt emerged and the ex-couple is still in court for the custody of their children. Though it seems like the former couple has a cordial relationship now, rumors still emerge that Jolie is planning to take revenge on Pitt.

There were rumors that the mother-of-six actress was plotting revenge on Pitt amidst speculations that he got back together with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. The National Enquirer also claimed that Angelina was furious on Hollywood for allegedly "getting even" with her by showering Pitt with accolades for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Pitt has been vocal about his sobriety after his split with Jolie. A few months back, the Ad Astra actor opened up about it and revealed that he started going to AA meetings after Jolie filed for divorce that ended their marriage after 14 years together.

Meanwhile, Brad delivered an emotional speech and at the same time, a jab on the recent Donald Trump impeachment trial. He dedicated his win to his six kids: Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

"This is for my kids, who color everything I do. I adore you," he said.

He also stressed the 45 seconds that was given to him to deliver his acceptance speech while poking fun on the Senate Republicans' effort to block John Bolton from testifying. Pitt also urged director Quentin Tarantino to do a movie about Trump's impeachment trial but have a different end result.
