Courteney Cox is best friends with Jennifer Aniston and she would do everything that will make her pal happy. Reports have it that Cox played a major role in the renewed friendship of Aniston and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and she is making an effort to make sure that the two will get back together.
According to Star, Cox is the happiest person when Aniston and Pitt reunited at the SAG Awards recently. Courteney, allegedly, liked a stream of social media posts about the reunion of the former couple.
"Courteney can't stop talking about it. She's been telling friends that not only is Jen getting back with Brad, but a marriage is on the horizon," a source told the tabloid.
The insider claimed Cox saw a calmer and sober man in Brad now and she would like Jen back in the arms of the man she loved. However, the claim seems to have shaky evidence to prove that Scream actress is working on to get Jen and Brad back together.
Gossip Cop checked on its source close to Cox who confirmed that the Cougar Town actress is not telling everyone about Jen and Brad's renewed friendship and that she wants the two back together. The publication noted that Cox might have liked social media posts about the former spouses' run-in at SAG, but it doesn't mean she is pushing the two to get back together.
It is also worthy to note that the SAG Awards reunion was not the first time the Friends actress and Brad saw each other. It was just their first public meeting since their divorce in 20015.
The, recently, awarded Oscars Best Supporting Actor attended Aniston's 50th birthday in February last year. It also widely reported that Pitt was also present at Jen's annual Christmas party in December.
In both events, Cox was also present. This means Courteney has seen the two together even before SAG and it is unlikely that she would get too excited about the award show run-in.
Reports have it that Courteney was the one who reconnected her Friends co-star and the Ad Astra actor. Apparently, Cox bumped into Pitt at ROCK4BE! in Malibu in January 2017 but Aniston was still happily married to Justin Theroux at the time.
The two talked and Brad asked Courteney how Jen was doing. She told him that The Morning Show actress was in a really good place and happy with Theroux.
However, Cox allegedly told Pitt that Aniston misses his friendship. She also allegedly gave Brad Jen's new phone number and the two reconnected from there.
