Donald Trump and Melania Trump have already hosted a lot of foreign guests inside the White House since they officially became the First Couple of the United States. But, in the last three years, there were only two state visits that happened in the current administration.

As per CNN, the most recent one was in September of 2019 when the Trumps welcomed the Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morison, and his wife, Jenny Morrison. The President and the First Lady was said to host a "state dinner" in the Rose Garden inside the White House.

As for the first of the administration, they hosted their French guests, President Emmanual Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron.

For 2020, the White House just announced that Donald Trump and Melania Trump will host Spain a state visit on April 21. They will welcome the Spanish royalties, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia to "reaffirm" commitments in standing together "to address" the "global challenges" that both countries are facing today.

It was also announced that the visit will come with an official state dinner. As for the corresponding details, nothing much has been released yet. But, it is expected that these will all be revealed in the coming weeks.

The same publication also noted that this will serve as the Spanish royals' second visit in the White House. As it happened, the King and Queen of Spain "paid a visit" in June of 2018 during their "planned tour" in the United States. The royals were also reportedly stopped for a visit to the states of Texas and Louisiana.

During their first visit, Daily Mail revealed that Donald Trump met with King Felipe VI inside the Oval Office. As for Melania Trump, the First Lady reportedly welcomed Queen Letizia and invited the royal for an "afternoon tea" at the Red Room of the White House.

The report also claimed that the two female heads shared the same interest in fashion. They were even deemed as "fashionistas" as they both became a "bright spot" in Washington amid the rainy weather.

Based on clips and photos, Melania Trump wore an olive and white Valentino dress, while Queen Letizia wore a hot pink Michael Kors dress partnered with pink accessories. It was also seen that they both wore their respective "signature stiletto heels" during the visit.

Donald Trump was also reported to state a few "warm words" to the King while inside the office. He said that he loves Spain and that the country is a "beautiful place" that has a "very special people."
