Prince Harry has been a staunch supporter of the British troops in his time as an official royal family public servant. After quitting his senior royal post, he has bigger plans for military veterans. Sources disclosed that the Duke of Sussex is on a "global mission" to help the troops in Britain, the U.S. and Canada.

According to The Sun, Prince Harry apparently told his aides that he would like to see changes in how British troops are cared for after their service to the county. However, the duke also wants the United States and Canada to become part of this pioneering project.

Prince Harry wants to help more veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and lifelong injuries. He'll use the experiences and learnings he gained from the charities he supports in the U.K. to facilitate his plans for the U.S. and the Commonwealth of Canada.

The report further stated that Prince Harry is set to meet with the PTSD Association of Canada. The duke is also planning to have private meetings with other charities as he starts planning for the next Invictus Games, which will take place in The Netherlands.

A source revealed to The Sun that something might be brewing for the veterans in May. Prince Harry is passionate about helping out the troops and the soldiers who return from the war zone. The royal believes that they deserve better after serving the country.

Prince Harry was an officer of the Army for close to 10 years and did a few tours of duty in Afghanistan. Of his many accomplishments, the royal is most proud of his work in the military because he was not treated as a VIP but as a soldier.

The Duke of Sussex is also the Captain General of the Royal Marines, a post he inherited after his grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, retired from his royal duties in 2017. However, Prince Harry will have to formally turnover the leadership as Captain General to Princess Anne. When he and Meghan Markle decided to step back from the royal family, Queen Elizabeth also stripped him of his military associations.

According to The Sunday Times, Princess Anne is the personal choice of Prince Philip. The Princess Royal has 65 military organization affiliations. The turnover might take place when Prince Harry returns to London for Commonwealth Day in March, as requested by Queen Elizabeth.
