Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to the U.K. to do the final stretch of their royal duties before they officially leave their posts as senior members of the royal family. Multiple reports reveal Queen Elizabeth II invites the Sussexes to join the rest of the royal family at the Commonwealth Day. However, there are rumors the Duchess of Sussex may snub Her Majesty's request.

According to Express, Buckingham Palace insiders claimed the former actress might not grant the Queen's personal invitation to appear as a senior member of the royal family for the last time. Prince Harry's wife has yet to confirm if she will return to the U.K. to attend two events to do her final royal duties before she officially leaves the monarchy.

Prince Harry is set to attend the Mountbatten Festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall before he joins Queen Elizabeth at the annual Commonwealth Day Service. However, ABC's Omid Scobie revealed it remains to be seen if he would be join by his wife.

"We have heard from the Palace that their final engagements as working members of the royal family will be taking place in early March," he said. "That will be an appearance at least by Harry at the Mountbatten Festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall."

Scobie continued to say that the music festival will be a two-night event and the royal couple is set to appear. Prince Harry is already confirmed to make an appearance at the Commonwealth Day and Meghan Markle is expected to be by his side.

After all, they are both the President and Vice President of Queen Elizabeth's Commonwealth Trust. As this will be their final appearance as senior members of the royal family, there are hopes that it will be a meaningful engagement for the two of them.

After doing his final duties, things may be emotional for the Duke of Sussex as he is not only giving up his role as a senior royal but his military honors, too. Buckingham Palace has yet to confirm who will officially attend the Commonwealth Day service.

Queen Elizabeth, reportedly, requested Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to attend the Commonwealth Day. The Sunday Times noted that they need to attend the "final round" of their royal engagements in the U.K. before they return to Canada.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a quick trip to the U.K. before they announced their decision to step back from their royal duties. At the time, they weren't with their nine-old-month son, baby Archie, but, when they returned to the U.K., he might join his parents.
