Could Tilda Swinton be collaborating for the third time with Parasite director Bong Joon Ho? Reports are rife that the Hollywood actress is being eyed as part of the cast of HBO's Parasite television series.

According to a report by Soompi, Tilda Swinton is being considered to play one of the lead roles in the six-part television series based on the Academy Award-winning film of the same name.It has earlier been confirmed that Parasite director Bong Joon Ho will be working closely with Succession's Adam McKay who will be helming the six-part HBO limited series. In a previous interview, he clarified the Parasite TV series will be presented as an expanded film to fulfill his real vision for the South Korean movie.

Director Bong Joon Ho said that he had a lot of big ideas for the Parasite movies that he had to let go of because of the two-hour time limit set for the film. The HBO series would allow him to explore the character backstories that he planned from the beginning. However, it remains unclear if the film will be set in the US or South Korea.

Should Tilda Swinton accept the role to star in the series, this will be her third time working with Bong Joon Ho as she previously starred in his films Snowpiercer and Okja.

Another actor rumored to be in the running for the Parasite TV series is Mark Ruffalo. While there has been no confirmation from HBO about the final casting, the actor already gave his response when asked about the possibility of joining the project. Praising Bong Joon Ho for his film and his Oscars speech, Ruffalo said he was keen on doing the project.

"[Bong is] amazing, I love him. He's amazing. His speech last night was incredible. It's an amazing movie. I'd be honored to be able to play something in that," he said in an interview.

Ruffalo's response further fanned the rumor mills as he did not deny being approached about a role for the Parasite limited series. He added that it would be cool to be a part of it one day.He said that he could not comment further because nothing is done until its done, leading pundits to believe that he is already in talks with execs about the role.

Mark Ruffalo was reportedly being considered for the role originally played by Bong Joon Ho's favorite collaborator Song Kang Ho.
