After collecting 59 trophies in local and international award-giving bodies including Best Picture and Best Director Oscars, Best Cast in the Screen Actor Guild awards, accolades from Golden Globe Awards, Independent Spirit Awards and the Palm d'Or from the Cannes Film festival, Parasite is set to embark on the next chapter of its journey with HBO's limited series adaptation.

Director Bong Joon Ho has expressed excitement about the project. So, here are all the things you need to know about the HBO series so far.

  1. Parasite's HBO series will be an expansion of the Parasite film. According to director Bong Joon Ho, the HBO limited series is an expanded film similar to Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Alexander, which also had a three-hour theatrical version. In an interview with Variety, he said his goal was to create a high quality expanded version of hid multi-award-winning film.
