Sarah Ferguson wished her ex-husband Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, a happy birthday on social media last Wednesday, Feb. 19. She was also busy organizing his birthday lunch, which prompted royal fans to say that they should just remarry each other.

The Duchess of York, fondly called Fergie by royal fans, shared Prince Andrew's photo on her Instagram for her very simple birthday greeting. Her followers immediately filled the comments section with their wishes for the Queen's son.

Some royal fans said that Prince Andrew and Fergie should just get back together and remarry since she has remained by his side through all of his controversies. Fergie's followers pointed out that Prince Andrew and Fergie are likely closer now than they have ever been because of their challenging experiences together.

Prince Andrew and Fergie ended their marriage in 1996. However, they decided to live in the same house in 2008 as they co-parented their growing girls, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Royal expert Robert Jobson said via Daily Mail that Fergie has been Prince Andrew's rock amid his problems with the Jeffrey Epstein case. His ex-wife is still his number one supporter when others have turned their back on the royal son. The fact that they live in the same house also show that they have a mature relationship despite no longer married to each other.

Prince Andrew has been receiving negative public perception since his BBC interview in November to clarify his friendship with the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The royal also denied the allegations that he was involved with Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of the young girls Epstein allegedly sexually exploited.

As a result of the train wreck interview, Prince Andrew stepped back from his royal roles indefinitely. The public backlash also pushed Queen Elizabeth to cancel Prince Andrew's milestone 60th birthday in Buckingham Palace.

According to Tatler, Prince Andrew celebrated his birthday with a small number of people at his home in Windsor. Fergie and his daughters were present for the birthday lunch, and at least about a dozen friends and family members.

Bells at Westminster Abbey rung at 1:00 p.m. while government buildings were not sanctioned if they did not fly the Union Jack flag. Princess Eugenie also posted a special photo of herself with her father on Instagram and while Queen Elizabeth was not at Prince Andrew's birthday party, the Royal Family Instagram did not forget to greet the Duke of York for his 60th birthday.
