John Cena previously revealed that he is an ARMY. The 42-year-old American professional wrestler, actor, rapper, and television presenter even offered to be RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook’s bodyguard.
When asked who his bias was, he said it was J-Hope. This wasn’t a shock to his social media followers as the Hollywood superstar had posted a picture of the BTS rapper to his Instagram account in February 2018.
While John Cena remained loyal to J-Hope, he revealed to James Corden that he also likes RM. He then explained that what he likes most about BTS is the way they spread positivity to their fans.
“I began to listen to their music and the message they sent to their fans, and it’s one of self-love and self-reflection and being confident in yourself even though you may be different,” John Cena said. “Young people are listening to their music and they are sending a good message through their music and I think that’s really cool when you have popularity and choose to use your voice for something good. I think that’s a plus.”
While ARMYs are already aware that John Cena is a huge BTS fan, it was just recently confirmed that the boys are his fans as well! RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were asked by Jimmy Fallon during their new Tonight Show interview who they want to meet and the BTS leader immediately picked John Cena.
“We want to see him. He’s a big fan of us, and we’re the big fan [of him], yeah it’s like, mutually, of course,” he said. “He likes J-Hope,” Jungkook added. “Yeah, he loves J-Hope,” RM agreed.
RM then revealed that they are fans of WWE, where John Cena started his career. “Yeah, we were always watching WWE when we were like 13, like 15,” he said. The BTS boys then sang an improvised version of John Cena’s famous entrance music.
Jimmy Fallon took to Twitter to tell John Cena that BTS wants to meet him. “Yo @JohnCena getting a call out from @BTS_twt - you hear this? #BTSonFallon” the host wrote. After a few hours, a very excited John Cena tweeted out a reaction to a video from Jimmy Fallon where BTS said they are WWE fans.
“Pardon my language but HOLY SH*T!!! @jimmyfallon as if I couldn’t love you anymore!! @bts_bighit @BTS_twt are huge @WWE fans!! Hope one day we can meet!! You’re amazing Jimmy Fallon! @FallonTonight #BTSArmy” he wrote.
