Bad news for BLINKs. The BLACKPINK's highly-anticipated comeback next month will reportedly get delayed due to the threat of coronavirus outbreak. But it wasn't the only thing that angers BLINKs.

Back in November 2019, BLACKPINK's label YG Entertainment confirmed that the K-pop female group will be making a comeback early this year. It revealed that the members are working on their new songs for the upcoming album. However, the label did not give a specific date for the group's comeback.

According to a Hana Financial report (via AllKpop), it is true that BLACKPINK is preparing to make a comeback in the first half of 2020. However, it could be delayed for more months due to the increasing fear of COVID 19.

The South Korean government has already raised its coronavirus alert to the highest level as the confirmed number of cases continues to rise. So far, the country has almost 1,300 cases, many are from Daegu, the city in the southern part of South Korea.

Meanwhile, a YG Entertainment rep confirmed that the company is preparing to launch a new girl group. However, there is no confirmed debut date for the group as of yet. The rep stressed that they are currently focusing on BLACKPINK and WINNER's comeback albums.

The new girl group will be YG's first since the "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" singers debuted four years ago. But BLINKs are not happy about it.

They immediately took to Twitter to express their frustration with YG Entertainment. Many are already furious about the BLACKPINK comeback delay but it was further fueled by the announcement that a new girl group will be introduced soon.

One fan wrote, instead of debuting a new girl group, YG should not disregard the "Kill This Love" hitmakers and make them more active in South Korea. Many are also demanding the label to make more albums for Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa than plan on creating a new group.

"Just take care of the artist you have. What kind of girl group are you going to debut without BLACKPINK making a comeback?" another commented.

Meanwhile, amidst the reports of the delayed album, BLACKPINK is set to drop a special photo book as well as a new collectible figurine collection. The BLACKPINK's 2020 Welcoming Collection is scheduled for release on March 4. It is currently available for pre-order.

The collectible figurines of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, on the other hand, are expected to hit the store shelves in the United States this summer. The four figurines are inspired by the members' fashion styles from their "Kill This Love" music video.
