Prince Harry has been friends with David Beckham for a decade. Now that the Duke of Sussex steps down as a senior royal, along with his wife Meghan Markle, the former footballer reveals the often topic the two boys always talk about.
Despite the big issue of the Sussexes' departure from the monarchy, Victoria Beckham's husband revealed they were often chatting about parenting instead, especially after the birth of their firstborn, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex became proud parents to the cute kid in May 2019.
Talking about their discussions, David Beckham told ET Online that Prince Harry seems to be enjoying his being a young father for the first time and that is what they only often talk about. "When you are a parent, it changes everything for you. He always needs to be happy," he added.
The Inter Miami CF president added that he and his wife are proud of how Prince Harry managed to adapt to fatherhood. He admitted that they both love him and praised him for being an "amazing person" with all the issues he is currently facing; he knows that these two traits are the most important things.
David Beckham is proud to see Prince Harry growing up as an individual and being the man that every father wants to be. However, the Salford City co-owner admitted that he has no idea about the sixth in line to the throne's recent move to Canada after he steps down as a senior member of the royal family.
The father-of-four said he hasn't spoken to Prince Harry about his move to Canada as they only speak as friends, and that's the most important thing for him. David and Harry are believed to have been friends since 2010 after they met at an FA reception. He also attended their royal wedding with Victoria Beckham in 2018, Express noted.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is back in the U.K. to do the final stretch of his royal engagements before his time as a senior working royal officially ends in March. In an event to launch the eco-friendly way of traveling, Travalyst, he insisted to be only called "Harry," removing his title as a prince, Huffpost reported. His older brother, Prince William, and wife Kate Middleton also started their royal duties this week after they had a quick break to spend time with their kids, Prince George and Princess, following their school break.
