It's officially BTS comeback season and fans are undoubtedly getting themselves ready for more appearances from the boy group now that the new album Map of the Soul: 7 has finally been released. However, Armys were not prepared for a huge surprise from Bangtan Sonyeondan this week. The official MV for Black Swan has just been unleashed and it just happens to be filled with dark and gorgeous visuals. Needless to say, BTS fans are shaken by the unexpected music video release.

BTS has already released a music video for Black Swan back in January 17. However, the song had been rearranged and and the MV was more of an art film featuring the Slovenian modern dance troupe MN Dance Company. Bangtan Sonyeondan would later perform the song on The Late Late Show Starring James Corden and have since been performing Black Swan on MCountdown as well as KBS Music Bank. Nevertheless, no one was expecting RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook to release an official MV for the single.

At exactly 12am KST on March 5, the official Big Hit Entertainment YouTube channel released the official Black Swan music video. The MV opens with BTS dancing in a dark theater with the spotlight right above them. As the song progresses, Suga is shown rapping on a stage while what appears to be his shadow is dancing erratically behind him. It is a scene that is repeated throughout the video as the other members are performing but always with their shadows doing something different behind them.

There are several stunning scenes in the Black Swan MV as the group is shown dancing in an ornate golden theater. At one point, each member is highlighted before Jimin is revealed to have grown large black wings. This is probably the moment where Armys gasped in unison. The other scene that truly grabs the audience's attention features Jin in a room full of mirrors, but when he turns around, his reflections keep looking at him.

It's an amazing video that fans are already comparing to BTS' 2017 MV for Blood Sweat and Tears, which also happened to pay tribute to the film Black Swan. Needless to say, Armys already have theories about what the Black Swan music video is all about. Nevertheless, without all the theories and speculations, it's safe to say that this is one of the group's best music videos to date.

Black Swan is the first single from the new BTS album Map of the Soul: 7. The lead single ON also has two accompanying music videos.
