It's no secret that the members of BTS love doing unusual things to please their fans. After all, the idols are known for their distinct personalities that has endeared them to Armys for several years. However, their most recent antics may have proven just how far RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook would go to make their fans laugh. The biggest boy group in the world just promised to perform their new single 'ON' in acupuncture slippers if they won first place on M Countdown and the idols kept their word!
There is little doubt that BTS is currently dominating just about every world chart with their new album Map of the Soul: 7. Not surprisingly, the two singles from the new album are doing extremely well on the charts. With that in mind, Bangtan Sonyeondan were already set to win first place again on M Countdown when they appeared on the chart show. However, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook still managed to keep things interesting on the show by proposing a strange deal if they achieved victory.
BTS was already on a winning streak when they appeared on the March 5 episode of M Countdown, having taken four wins in a row. However, their appearance on Mnet was a truly special one since the chart show was celebrating its 25th anniversary. In turn, Bangtan Sonyeondan promised that they would celebrate their win on the show by doing something truly unusual. Jin declared that he and his fellow members would perform their single 'ON' wearing acupressure slippers as part of the encore.
It was a hilarious deal considering that Jin is known for his love of the reflexology slippers. On the other hand, the other members of BTS were probably not too eager to perform with the slippers on considering that it could be painful to wear even when you are just walking around. Nevertheless, the acupuncture slippers were prepared in front of the boy group in case they achieve their fifth win on M Countdown. Not surprisingly, the trophy was eventually given to Bangtan Sonyeondan, who immediately thanked their fans for making their fifth victory possible.
It wasn't easy for BTS to dance in the acupressure slippers but they still persevered and managed to perform 'ON'. On the other hand, the idols were also laughing at their situation since it gave new meaning to the line, "Bring the pain" in their single.
BTS' new album Map of the Soul: 7 was released on February 21.
