Melania Trump has been quite focused on her duties and responsibilities as the First Lady of the United States. With her Be Best initiative, alongside other works for the community, she has already been into different parts of the globe. In fact, she just got back from their India tour last week.
While she is now spending most of her time in service of the American people, the First Lady used to be a model first. Her husband even described her as a "supermodel" and the most beautiful of them all.
One of the covers and shoots that she did included the New York Magazine 2002 edition for its Valentine's Day "Singles" issue. In it, Melania Trump can be seen kissing a New York firefighter, which reportedly meant to "re-enact" the iconic photo of a sailor and nurse kissing each other during the end of the World War II in 1945.
According to Express UK, the First Lady was still known as Melania Knauss since she was not yet married to the now-President, Donald Trump. Even so, the two were already together, which was even acknowledged by other reports to be the reason behind Melania's career in modeling.
The publication added that Melania Trump was hired for the cover of the magazine, in which issue was largely intended for the "rock stars" of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The issue was released in February 2002, just a few months after the unfortunate event.
While the magazine already made its way to the public almost two decades ago, the copy of the cover photos recently went viral on various social media platforms. As per the New York Post, journalist Matt Haber recently "learned" about the magazine cover, which then sparked the talks about the "unearthed" photos.
It was said that he, along with the staff working with Melania Trump (Melania Knauss) did not expect to be working with the future United States President's wife. But, "we were," he added.
The firefighter who was with the now-First Lady in the magazine cover was later named Daniel T. Keane, who is now an FDNY Battalion Chief. He reportedly "recalled" what happened during the shoot, especially during the time he and Melania Knauss "re-created" the famous post-World War II photo,
He stated that they held the pose a "couple hundred times." In each of these times, he shared that Melania Trump planted "big kisses" on him.
It was further attested that he remembered some of the staff asking him whether he knows the model or not, to which he responded that he does not know any models. He then shared that "they" told him that it was Melania Knauss, "Donald Trump's girlfriend."
