Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are some of the members of the British Royal Family who have been repeatedly praised for their fashion choices. Everywhere the Duchesses go, both experts and fans always inspect and analyze their pieces as they reportedly "inspire" the public for their good looks and styles.

It is not surprising that all of the royals' fashion pieces are expensive and rare. But, what makes this dynamic really shocking is that the two Duchesses were revealed to be "banned" from accepting "free clothes," especially from designer brands. As stated, the British Royal Family does not allow this.

According to Express UK, several brands across the globe would surely want Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton to wear their fashion pieces. This is why it is not a new thing for brands and manufacturers to send a few free items in their product lines and series to notable personalities. It is automatically a great "advertisement" and marketing technique to boost their sales and audience.

While some members of the Royal Family, like Zara Tindall, can accept and receive free clothes from brands, especially the designer ones, the two Duchesses as working members of the Firm cannot. The reason being is that, as working royals, they should reportedly pay for all of their fashion pieces and choices. Accordingly, this largely applies to all of the senior members of the British Monarchy.

As added by Cheat Sheet, designer brands always send tons of pieces to the Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. Their assistant would reportedly arrange these items for the Duchesses to check on their own.

Once they are able to choose one or two from the set, they will pay them from their own funds. So, all of the pieces that they have worn since officially becoming part of the British Royal Family were all paid by the royals.

The case will be different now, though. for the Duchess of Sussex as noted by the same report. It was said that, since Megxit will now soon take into effect, Meghan Markle can then accept free designer clothes from brands and lines across the globe.

As for Kate Middleton, things will remain the same as she is still the Duchess of Cambridge and the future Queen Consort. Therefore, the same processes of choosing her clothing pieces and accessories will continue until she decides to quit the royal life, which is very unlikely, given that she reportedly enjoys her busy life as a working royal.
