Princess Anne is one of the most "hardest-working" royals known to the public since then. In fact, she made a total of 506 engagements last year, just next to her brother, Prince Charles, who carried out a total of 521.
Accordingly, it is not surprising why her mother, Queen Elizabeth II has been giving her a few more important commitments on top of her main duties. As it happened, she just made her "debut" at the London Fashion Week on Tuesday to present an award.
According to Evening Standard UK, the Princess Royal was spotted in the event earlier this week as the "guest star." It was noted that she presented the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design to Rosh Mahtani, the founder of Alighieri.
Mahtani, along with her British jewellery brand, was said to be "recognized" for the "craftmanship" of her products. As revealed, all pieces of the Alighieri's jewellery are produced in Hatton Garden.
The award also reportedly noted that she, as well as her business, is using "responsibly sourced materials." In addition, the brand itself promotes "local manufacturing" and supports employment, which basically the base reasons why the award was given to her by Princess Anne.
It was said that the Queen's daughter shared a few words during the event held at The Crypt of St Etheldreda's Church. Being the president of the United Kingdom Fashion and Textile Association, the Princess Royal attested that it is "entirely appropriate" for the award to go to the jewellery part of the fashion world. It is a "key part of fashion," she added.
The publication also reported that Princess Anne "commended" London's reputation in this specific sector. As claimed, London is a "global authority" on jewellery manufacture "throughout history" and in the future.
In the same report released by Hello! magazine, the Queen's only daughter is known for her own style credentials. During the event, she wore an "emerald green" jacket and dress, which are complemented well with her black shoulder bag and simple accessories.
As added in the same report, this was the third year of the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Last year, it was the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, who attended the London Fashion Week and presented the award to Richard Quinn. In the first year, the Queen herself was the one who presented Bethany Williams the award.
Princess Anne will be in another important engagement again in the next few weeks. This time, however, she will be the focus of the event as she will officially replace Prince Harry's role as the Captain-General of the Royal Marines.
